This transition period from the EA-6B to EA-18G began in June 2008, and will continue for the foreseeable future.The Vikings also develop and revise standard operating procedures for maintenance and operation programs for the EA-6B Prowler and EA-18G Growler. Similarly to the Aviators and NFOs, 129 maintainers train maintenance personnel from squadrons transitioning from the EA-6B to EA-18G on the latest procedures for the Growler.
